Year 5 Residential to Longtown

Tuesday Evening Update:

Hello Parents,

It's been another great day.  We started off with a three hour mountain hike; the sun shone and everyone showed real enthusiasm and courage as we climbed the hills and wound our way along the border between England and Wales.

We ate our picnic lunch high in the hills before hiking back down into the valley.

The walk was followed by afternoon activities; paddle boarding, archery and high ropes.  The children have thrown themselves with huge enthusiasm into every activity offered!

Supper was delicious vegetable or chicken curry followed by home made apple crumble.  Now it's time for our evening campfire and songs before bed!

Tuesday's update:

Early reports from the staff team said that it was a beautiful morning at Longtown! All children had a good nights sleep and started the day with a big breakfast to fuel them ahead of their mountain walk.

Below are some photos taken during Class 5's mountain hike earlier today.
